February 19, 2017. What is perfection? In Matthew 5:38-48 Jesus says we are to be perfect, as our heavenly Father is perfect. But what does it mean to be perfect? Pastor Tom Schoenherr discusses this text, and suggests that we are to reach toward the goal of a life in deep and mature relationship with God. It’s difficult for us to love those who have hurt us, but Jesus calls us to the struggle. He understands that we can’t attain perfection but he calls us to persist.
