Focus on the Sower
Series: (All)
July 16, 2017. In today's Gospel reading from Matthew 13, Jesus tells a parable to help his followers understand why many people rejected his teachings. The sower in the story spreads seeds on the path, on rocky ground, among thorns, and on good soil. Pastor Penny wants us to focus on the sower in her sermon today. June 18, 2017. Pastor Penny's message today is about the sense of urgency Jesus had in his mission to bring Good News to those who were harassed and helpless. Who would Jesus see as harassed and helpless today? What would he see in us? We can be good at hiding our problems even though we too suffer, from doubt, guilt, loneliness, or fear.
