Now Is the Opportune Time
Series: (All)
January 21, 2018. When is it the right time? Today Pastor Penny talks about two kinds of time: the ordinary time that we measure, and God's time. Jesus' disciples lived and worked in ordinary time, but they began to see sparks of God's time in their lives when they started to understand who Jesus was. If we know what to look for, we can catch glimpses of God's time too. *** [Keywords: 2018 Andrew Bible stories Christ Lutheran Church Connections Daniel H. December 3, 2017. This Advent we start hearing from the Gospel of Mark. We don't really know who wrote it, but after an interview skit with the "author" that gives some context and background, Pastor Penny relates our burdens today with the burdens of Mark's community in his time. We can be tempted to hide, or to follow the wrong voice. But instead we come to church, to hear the voice of Jesus telling us to stay awake.
