Youth Group

Sunday morning Youth Group meets at 9:15 a.m. with Mike Hoyer as our guide, in the Youth Room at the Arden Mead Center for Youth and Community. You are welcome to join us for as we focus on our personal relationship with God. We will be looking at our lives, pop culture, the weekly readings in worship and so many other areas of existence to build our relationship.

Mission Trip 2010 has been selected - July 9-17, 2010 are the dates as the high school youth group will be traveling to Brighton, TN to do home repairs. This is western Tennessee cotton country, beautiful country with hardworking individuals and families hit by the changes in the economy. Your servanthood, expressed through the use of a paint brush, hammer or saw, will bring a sense of pride back to this community.

MISSION TRIP DONATIONS: This summer 7 youth and adults from Christ Lutheran will be joining with two other area churches on a Mission trip during which they will be doing home repair for many residents of a small, old mining town in Tennessee. They will be needing supplies to make this a success and are doing a "Call-Out" for donations - TOOLS! These tools will be left with the residents for their use so they can continue the work after our team has left their town.

You can make a donation in three ways: (1) Donate gently-used tools that you may have. (2) Buy and donate new tools. (3) Donate money that may be used to buy tools.

TOOLS that are needed: 2 spade shovels, box of rags, 16-ft extension ladder, 8-ft step ladder, electric drill and bits, 2 post-hole diggers, jigsaw, first aid kit, extension cord and ground fault interrrupt, square, nail bar, level, circular saw, caulking gun, chisel, 5-gallon water jug, chalk line, utility knife, paint roller extenion handle, tool pouches or bags, twenty N-95 disposable masks, sets of work gloves, safety goggles, all sizes of paint brushes, paint rollers, paint trays, paint scrapers or wire brushes, screw drivers, hammers, spray bottles, tape measures.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for our ministry.
