AND YOUTH CLASS

Sunday Morning Education Hour: 9:15 a.m.

The Sunday School The Sunday School, staff and children in pre-Kindergarten through 6th grades, hold their classes in the newly renovated and spacious rooms of the Arden Mead Center for Youth and Community on Sundays. The west wing of the Mead Center has shiny floors in earth tones, new tables and chairs, real walls, new doors and cabinets just right for the Sunday School!

This year Sunday School will be using the "Spark" curriculum by Augsburg Fortress publishers which matches the lessons to the readings used each Sunday in worship.

Confirmation Classes meet in the newly carpeted room in the Mead Center, across the hall from the Youth Room at 9:15 a.m.. Pastor Penny will teach the class with help from parent "guides", and assistance from Craig Swendsen, Director of Youth and Family Ministry, once a month. Confirmation classes will be using the new Augsburg Fortress curriculum "Here We Stand," which uses large and small group review model, with a book which contains The Small Catechism and other helps called "The Lutheran Handbook." Confirmation is a two-year process beginning in the 7th grade.

Youth Class meets in the Youth Room of the Arden Mead Center for Youth and Community. This space was renovated and decorated by the Youth. The Youth Group "One Life" meets weekly on Sunday evenigns at 7:00 p.m. at Dr. Jazz, soda shoppe and grill..
