COVID Precautions: Masks are optional to enter the building and will be available at entrances if needed. Whatever your age, there are opportunities for you to learn and grow in your faith this fall!

 

Sunday School—Children 3 to 4th  grade are invited to learn, play, pray, and grow together! Lauren Butz coordinates Sunday School. Join us any Sunday at 9:15am!

 

Sunday Cool—Youth in 5-6th grade are invited to be part of a community that prays, learns, and serves together. Kate Hoerchler will lead Sunday Cool, every Sunday at 9:15am.

 

Confirmation—Youth in middle school commit to two years of learning, intentional service, gathering with youth from other ELCA congregations in the Collaborative, camp, and other activities in preparation for Confirmation, when they will affirm their baptisms. Typically, youth participate in 7-8th grades, but that is flexible. Pastor Meagan and Katie Ciorba will be leading Confirmation this year, beginning with Camp Wartburg September 5! Most classes take place at 9:15am Sundays, or from 1-3 with the Collaborative. Contact Pastor Meagan for full schedule.

 

Sunday Forum—All are welcome to come together for learning, prayer, reflection, and discussion led by Christ Lutheran members and other presenters on a wide variety of topics throughout the program year. Topics in 2025-26 included hearing from our Ministry Partners, sharing of faith stories by CLC members, scripture study, church history, and much more. Join us any Sunday at 9:15am!

 

Communion Class—Any children (typically 2-3 grade) who would like to learn about Holy Eucharist, whether they have been receiving communion or are eager to receive communion for the first time, are welcome! Children and their parents will gather for two sessions this fall to reflect on scripture and our baptismal promises, and learn about the sacrament and how we celebrate it. Classes will be scheduled with families participating, and we will then celebrate their learning in Worship.

 

September 13th will be the first Sunday of the new program year, we should have a fellowship provided lunch after worship! 

 

We will have Porter’s fried chicken and a variety of sides and desserts.

The Wood kids will be holding their 4th annual bake sale in the Fellowship Hall after service on September 13th, 20th, and 27th.

 

All proceeds from the sales will be given to the Hydrocephalus Association in honor of Julia Wood. This year the project is being funded by a Thrivent Action Team grant.

 

If you have any special requests for items to be offered at the bake sale, please let someone in the Wood family know.

Every October the Wood family participates in the annual St. Louis Walk To End Hydrocephalus and appreciates your support in helping to fund research for this condition.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study – Meets every Tuesday at 10:30am in the Fellowship Hall

Text Study – Meets every Tuesday at 10:00am at Laclede Groves to review the text for the upcoming Sunday

Fitness Group – Meets every Monday and Thursday at 4:00pm in the Fellowship Hall

Choir Rehearsal – Meets every Wednesday at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary (schedule subject to change)
